1) Overview
Sonovanta Productions provides customized audio services, including sound design, original music, mixing, mastering, and audio identity. These are bespoke, labor-intensive services that begin as soon as we reserve time, review your brief, and start production planning.
Refund eligibility depends on whether work has started, how much work has been completed, and whether deliverables (including drafts) have been shared. This policy applies to deposits, packaged services, retainers, and milestone payments unless a written agreement states otherwise.
2) Deposits and Booking Fees
Deposits and booking fees reserve production time and are generally non-refundable. Once scheduled, we often turn away other work and allocate resources to your project. For this reason, deposits typically cannot be refunded even if you later decide not to proceed.
In rare situations—such as a duplicate payment or an administrative error—we may correct the transaction. If you believe there is an error, contact us with the details.
3) Before Work Starts
If you cancel before work begins and before we reserve resources (including discovery calls, intake reviews, and scheduling), we may consider a partial refund at our discretion. “Work begins” includes any substantive review of your brief, asset preparation, creative research, session setup, or scheduling time reserved specifically for your project.
4) After Work Starts
Once production has started, refunds are typically not available. If you cancel mid-project, you are responsible for payment for work performed and costs incurred up to the cancellation date, including creative time, editing, session setup, and revisions.
If you have paid more than the value of work completed at the point of cancellation, we may refund the difference minus any non-recoverable transaction costs. If you have paid less, the remaining balance may be due.
5) After Deliverables Are Shared
Once any Deliverables, drafts, previews, stems, or exports are delivered (even if labeled “draft” or “preview”), refunds are not available. The reason is simple: digital creative outputs cannot be “returned,” and the value of the work has been provided in usable form.
6) Revisions vs. Refunds
We want you to be happy with the result. Most issues are best solved through refinement rather than refunds. If something isn’t aligned with the brief, notify us promptly and clearly describe what needs adjustment.
- Included revisions: If your package includes revision rounds, we’ll use them to converge on the intended direction.
- Direction changes: Major changes after approval of a direction may be treated as new scope.
- Technical fixes: If there’s a technical problem (file format, export issue, clipping), we’ll correct it.
7) Chargebacks and Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us first, we may pause work and revoke access to Deliverables until the dispute is resolved. We maintain records of communication, time logs, drafts, and delivered files to help resolve disputes fairly.
8) Rescheduling and Credits
If you need to reschedule, we’ll try to accommodate. In some cases, instead of a refund, we may offer a credit toward future services, subject to availability and the reason for rescheduling. Credits are typically time-limited and non-transferable unless agreed otherwise.
9) Refund Method and Timing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method when possible. Processing times vary by bank and payment provider. We cannot control delays caused by third-party processors.
